FILM CLUB 2022-2023

The inauguration of the Film Club for the academic year 2022-23 was held on February 16, 2023 at 10.30 am in the seminar hall. Associate Professor and Poet in Malayalam Department Dr. Dharmarajan S.S. presided over the ceremony. This year’s Film Club was inaugurated by College Principal Dr. Alex L.Filmmaker and National Film Award winner V.C. Abhilash was the chief guest.V.C .Abhilash is the director of the films Alorukkum and Sabash Chandra Bose.

He gave a lecture on cinema as the main topic and interacted with the students about the film industry. Students asked questions and discussed various topics like cinematography, technology, acting, editing etc.  The film directed by the students was screened and discussed.  Teachers, film club members and other students attended the event.

Then the students conducted various programs related to cinema.Quiz Competition (KAH00T), Cinemamuk, Anime Screening etc.  On 29/03/2023 at 2 pm Film Club and Women Cell organized an open discussion about the film.

The discussion was based on the films Great Indian Kitchen and Jaya Jaya Hai. Students participated with great interest. Mithuna (III B.Sc Mathematics) was awarded the prize for best performance.
