As part of Quami Ekta Week conducted a poetic conference named Dwani in collaboration with Malayalam Association on 22nd Nov 2016. It was a remarkable programme in the college. The noted poet Chayam Dharmarajan delivered the key note address in which he initiated a discussion on Linguistic harmony. Kurinjilakkodu Balachandran, Vinod Vellayani, D.Yesudas and P.S.Unnikrishnan presented their own poems.
The club organized an exhibition cum sale of books from the noted publisher Logos on 14th,15th and 16th Jan 2017. It was very useful to teachers as well as students. Quiz competition and reading competition was conducted on 21stFeb 2017as part of Mathrubhashadinam’. Team of second year Malayalam Degree students won the first prize in reading competition and first year Malayalam Degree students got to the first prize in quiz competition
A debate on the topic Matrubhasha Bharanabhashayakumpol’ was organized on 28th March2017. Students actively participated and expressed their views on the merits, demerits and problems. More over weekly literary discussions of short stories and poems are conducted throughout the year. The students actively participated in all the club activities.

Conducted the programme, Kavisammelanam and sahithya churcha, under the title Dhwani on 22nd November 2016.
