The computer science department was started with the commencement of BSc (Physics and Computer Applications) programme in 2005 with computer science as vocational course.  At present, the department consists of Two faculty members, a well-furnished computer lab with 45 computer systems and an department library with 210 text books. This department could complete an UGC sponsored career oriented course on Information Technology Professional and also could host two UGC sponsored National Conferences. Nine PhDs were produced under the guidance of department faculty members.
