During the Academic Year 2014-15, Post Graduate Department of Commerce and History conducted UGC NET coaching classes for our PG students during 9 am to 10 am & 3.30 am to 4.30 pm (before & after the official working hours of the college). Faculties of the concerned department handled the classes.

Summary Report 2013-14

UGC sanctioned an amount of Rs. 1,75,000/-(Rupees One Lakh Seventy Five Thousand) in respect of coaching for NET in colleges  for students belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer) and minority communities. The fund utilised in the following manner

First and Second year M.com and M.A (History) students were selected for NET coaching classes. Twenty Eight students from M.Com and 26 students from M.A classes were attended this coaching class. 288 hours of classes (184 hours of Classes for General paper, 60 hours for Commerce subjects and 44 hours for History subject) on Saturdays and before (9 am to 10 am) & after (3.30 pm to 4.30 pm) the official working hours of the college were given to them. Printed study materials also given to them. Topic covered under General paper are General knowledge, Constitution of India, Communication, mental ability,  Research Methodology, Teaching aptitude, Reasoning, Mental ability, Information Technology etc. For M.A History students separate classes were taken on the topics namely, World history, Indian history, Kerala history, Governor Generals and their reforms, Arts and architecture during Budha Period etc. For M.Com students separate classes were taken on the topics namely, Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Banking, Indian Economy, Research Methodology, Business environment, Business Statistics, Data Processing in Business etc. Periodical test papers were conducted. Resource persons were selected from their area of specialisation. These classes were very useful to students for performing well in UGC-NET and SET Examinations.
