Report on the Orientation Programme for S4 FYUGP Students Regarding SEC and VAC Courses
An Orientation Programme was conducted for the S4 FYUGP students on 27 November 2025 to create awareness about the Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) and Value Added Courses (VAC) available for registration in the fourth semester.
The programme aimed to familiarize students with the various course options offered under the FYUGP curriculum. Students were informed that, in addition to the Discipline Specific Core (DSC) and Discipline Specific Elective (DSE) courses offered by their parent departments, they could register for SEC and VAC courses offered by other departments as well as their own department.
Faculty members from the following departments introduced the SEC and VAC courses offered by their respective disciplines:
- English
- Hindi
- Political Science
- Physics
- Statistics
- Sanskrit
- Malayalam
- History
- Economics
- Commerce
The resource persons provided an overview of the objectives, syllabus, scope, and learning outcomes of the courses. Detailed information regarding the content and relevance of each course was shared to help students identify their areas of interest and make informed decisions during the course registration process.
The session was interactive and enabled students to gain a clear understanding of the academic opportunities available to them through SEC and VAC courses. The programme successfully guided students in selecting courses that aligned with their interests and career aspirations.
The Orientation Programme concluded at 1.00 p.m.

Report on the Orientation Programme for S3 FYUGP Degree Students (2024 Admission)
An Orientation Programme for the II Year FYUGP Degree students (2024 Admission) was conducted during the first week of June 2025. During the programme, students raised several queries regarding the courses offered under the Multi-Disciplinary Course (MDC), Value Added Course (VAC), Minor 1, and Minor 2 streams.
To address these concerns and provide detailed information about the available courses, an Awareness Programme was organized for the III Semester students on 13 June 2025 at 11.00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Priya R., SLCM In-charge, who welcomed the Principal-in-charge, faculty members, and students. This was followed by an introductory note by the Principal-in-charge, Dr. Suraj, highlighting the significance of informed course selection under the FYUGP framework.
Faculty members from various departments then introduced the courses offered by their respective disciplines. The departments that presented their courses were:

- Mathematics
- Statistics
- Malayalam
- Hindi
- English
- Political Science
- Commerce
- History
- Economics
The teachers provided a detailed briefing on the objectives, content, and scope of the courses offered under MDC, VAC, Minor 1, and Minor 2. Students actively participated in the session and raised several questions regarding course selection, eligibility, and academic requirements. All queries were addressed and clarified by the faculty members.
The programme was highly informative and helped students gain a better understanding of the available academic options. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Malliga of III Semester PCA, expressing gratitude to the Principal, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support.

ORIENTATION ON S2 COURSES OFFERED BY THE COLLEGE ON 21.1.2026.
An orientation session was arranged for the students of Semester 2( 2025 admission) regarding the courses offered by the various departments of the institution. All the courses were introduced.

All the six departments introduced the courses with a general outline of the content of each course. This would help students to choose among the course of their interest before commencement of University course registration.

REPORT ON THE FYUGP INAUGURATION FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-2026
JULY 1 , 2025
Vijyanotsavom 2025-2026 started with Prayer song by college students. The programme convenor Dr. Suraj, HoD Dept of History delivered the welcome address. Principal Dr. Sheela kumari L gave the presidential address and introduced the program and its benefits to the audience comprising of the students and their parents. The program was inaugurated at college level by Stading committee chair person Smt. Vasanthakumari. Parallelly state level inauguration was live streamed at the seminar hall and provisions were made for viewing the same to all the audience.
The college level programme was felicitated by Ward Counsellor, Smt Ajitha, CDC Member Vellanad Ramachandran, Excise preventive officer, Smt. Dileep Kumar R, Inspector of Polics, Sri. Rajesh Kumar V and PTA Vice president, Smt. Shiji H. The PTA Vice president Sri. Aneesh R delivered the Vote of Thanks. The programme ended with National Anthem. After the official programs sweets and juices were distributed to the audience and students. They were entertained by the cultural programs by the senior students of the college. Many programs like music, songs and dance events were performed which were enjoyed by all.
